AERC' programs address traditional and modern barriers to education. We realize our mission through various programs.
1. Educational Resources: To raise scholarship funds and provide reading and writing materials to girls. Since 2003, Kenyan children now have access to free
primary education. However, secondary education remains
out of reach for many girls due to lack of tuition and
fees. AERC reaches out to help these exceptionally
talented but needy girls providing scholarships. AERC facilitates this process by:

3. Mentoring Program: AERC's female role models and mentors inspire girls and women to pursue education. We aim to inspire others to pursue education and realize their potential. Inspire other women by becoming a mentor. Apply to be a Mentor

Some Facts about Education in Kenya
The burden of education at the secondary (high) school level is primarily borne by parents.
Schools tuituion and fees vary but most schools cost between $500 to $1,000 (USD) per year.
Cost and standards differ depending on the type of school: National schools
Provincial schools
District schools
Private schools
The cost usually includes tuituion, room and board, books, uniforms, other fees).
School fees are keeping children out of the classroom, and many of these are the most vulnerable children in our societies -(UN Children's Fund).
